Higher Education in America

This continues beyond high schools. The institutions that offer higher education are universities, community colleges and some of professional institutions. There more than 3,000 higher education institution in America and more than half of these institutions are privately owned and operated. Community and junior colleges offer programmes for two years on both career and general education.

Most of technical institution offers two years in subjects like motor engineering and electronics. Students receive associate degree after finishing two year programme or a certificate for other certain training.  Some other universities and colleges offer four to five years programmes that lead to Bachelors of Arts, Bachelors of Science, and Bachelors of doctor’s degree etcetera. Other subjects taught in these universities include medicine, dentistry, business, law and many more.Technical Colleges teach profession skills like plumbing, electrical, clerical, and computing.
